Repositioning Cylinder for CNC Turret Punch Press - 1

Repositioning Cylinder for CNC Turret Punch Press

$160.00$170.00

Pneumatic repositioning cylinder for CNC turret punch presses, designed to temporarily secure large sheet metal during automatic sheet repositioning. It allows the work clamps to release, move to a new gripping position and re-clamp the sheet, enabling continuous punching beyond the machine’s original working range. Compatible with various Yangli, JFY, Yawei, TRUMPF, AMADA, FINN-POWER, ACL, Wisdom, Aike, Tailift, Jiemai and other CNC punch press models.

Description

Repositioning Cylinder for CNC Turret Punch Press

The repositioning cylinder is an important pneumatic component used in CNC turret punch presses when processing large sheet metal that exceeds the effective punching or positioning range of the machine.

During normal punching, the sheet is held and moved by the machine clamps. When the sheet size is too large to complete all punching operations within a single clamping range, the CNC punch press performs a sheet repositioning cycle. The repositioning cylinder temporarily presses and holds the sheet in position while the machine clamps release the sheet, move to a new position and clamp it again.

This process extends the usable processing range of the turret punch press and allows large sheets to be punched continuously without manual repositioning.

The cylinder is pneumatically operated and uses compressed air as its power source, providing fast response and stable pressing force during automatic sheet repositioning.

How the Repositioning Cylinder Works

When the CNC turret punch press reaches the limit of its current sheet positioning range, the machine initiates an automatic repositioning sequence.

The pneumatic repositioning cylinder extends and presses the sheet firmly against the machine table, temporarily preventing the sheet from moving.

While the sheet is held in position, the original work clamps release the sheet and move to a new gripping position. The clamps then secure the sheet again.

After the new clamping position has been established, the repositioning cylinder retracts to its original position and the CNC turret punch press continues punching the remaining area of the sheet.

This sequence enables efficient processing of large-format sheet metal while maintaining positioning stability and production continuity.

Typical Applications

This turret punch press repositioning cylinder is commonly used for:

  • Large-format sheet metal punching
  • Automatic sheet repositioning
  • CNC turret punch press clamp repositioning
  • Extended punching range applications
  • Sheet holding during work clamp movement
  • Replacement and maintenance of punch press pneumatic systems
  • Turret punch press repair and spare parts replacement

It is particularly useful when the dimensions of the sheet exceed the machine’s available clamping and punching range and a second positioning operation is required.

Compatible CNC Turret Punch Presses

WYS MACHINERY supplies repositioning cylinders and related punch press spare parts for a wide range of domestic and international CNC turret punch press systems.

Applications may include machines from:

Yangli, JFY (Jinfangyuan), Yawei, TRUMPF, AMADA, FINN-POWER, ACL, Wisdom, Aike, Tailift, Jiemai and other CNC punch press manufacturers.

Cylinder dimensions, stroke, installation dimensions, connection interfaces and other specifications may vary between machine models.

Customers can provide the machine brand, model, original cylinder model, dimensions or photos of the existing component, and we can help identify or manufacture the appropriate replacement solution.

Stable Sheet Repositioning for Large-Format Processing

Reliable sheet positioning is important for maintaining punching accuracy, especially when processing large sheets requiring multiple positioning cycles.

A properly functioning pneumatic repositioning cylinder helps keep the sheet stationary while the CNC clamps change position, reducing the possibility of unintended sheet movement during repositioning.

This contributes to more stable automatic punching and helps the machine complete complex punching programs efficiently.

Replacement & Custom Punch Press Parts

Different CNC turret punch presses may use repositioning cylinders with different:

  • Bore diameters
  • Stroke lengths
  • Mounting dimensions
  • Thread specifications
  • Air connections
  • Cylinder structures
  • Operating pressures

WYS MACHINERY can provide both standard and customized punch press replacement parts.

If the original part number is unavailable, customers can send us photos, dimensions or drawings of the existing component. Our team can assist in identifying the required specifications and recommend a suitable replacement.
