KJ-6-S Double-Sided Quick Clamp for Faster Tool Changes

Changing press brake tooling should be fast, safe and convenient. Conventional clamping systems often require the upper tool to be inserted from the side and then moved along the machine to the required position, which can make frequent tooling changes time-consuming.

The KJ-6-S Double-Sided Quick Clamp provides a more efficient solution.

As demonstrated in this video, press brake upper tooling can be inserted and removed vertically, instead of being limited to conventional side loading. This makes tooling installation easier and allows the operator to perform quick tool changes with one hand.

Vertical Loading Instead of Side Loading

One of the key advantages of the KJ-6-S is its vertical tool-loading capability.

The punch can be installed directly into or removed from the clamping position without sliding it along the entire length of the press brake.

For workshops that frequently change tooling or use segmented punches, this can simplify setup and reduce the handling required during changeovers.

Convenient One-Handed Tool Changes

The quick-loading structure is designed to make routine tooling changes easier for the operator.

With vertical insertion and removal, the operator can position the tooling directly at the required location. This is particularly useful when several different tooling sections need to be arranged across the machine for a bending job.

The result is a more convenient quick-change press brake tooling system with less unnecessary tool movement during setup.

Double-Sided Clamping for Flexible Tooling Layouts

Another important feature of the KJ-6-S is its double-sided structure.

Upper tooling can be installed on either the front or rear side of the press brake clamping system. This gives manufacturers greater flexibility when preparing tooling arrangements for different bending operations.

For complex parts requiring several upper-tool profiles, multiple tooling sets can be prepared on the machine. The operator can then select the appropriate tooling arrangement according to the required bending sequence, reducing unnecessary tooling replacement and helping improve overall bending efficiency.

Designed for Efficient Press Brake Production

The value of a quick clamp is not limited to how firmly it holds the tooling. An effective clamping system should also reduce setup effort and make frequent tooling changes more practical.

By combining vertical tool loading, one-handed operation and double-sided tooling installation, the KJ-6-S provides a flexible solution for press brake workshops handling frequent changeovers, segmented tooling and complex bending jobs.

WYS Machinery supplies different press brake quick clamping systems for various machine and tooling configurations. Clamp structure, mounting interface and tooling compatibility can be selected according to the customer's press brake and production requirements.
