Description

V30 85° Single-V Press Brake Lower Die for Medium-Gauge Bending

This V30 press brake lower die is designed with a robust single-V structure for sheet metal bending applications that require a wider V-opening and stable support during forming.

The illustrated configuration features a 30 mm V-opening, 85° die angle, 90 mm overall height and 40 mm body width, with a rated load capacity of 100 ton/m.

Compared with smaller V-opening dies, the V30 opening provides greater bending clearance and is suitable for applications where the required sheet thickness, flange geometry or inside bending radius calls for a wider lower die.

The 85° V-groove geometry is suitable for air bending applications and provides additional forming allowance when material springback must be considered.

100 Ton/m Load Capacity

With a rated capacity of 100 ton/m, this V30 lower die is designed for demanding sheet metal bending applications within its specified load range.

The 40 mm wide die body provides a stable structural section around the V-groove, supporting reliable and repeatable bending during production.

Actual bending tonnage should always be calculated according to the material type, tensile strength, sheet thickness, V-opening and bending length before production.

Flexible Effective Tool Height

The illustrated lower die has a total height of 90 mm and an effective working height of 75 mm.

Depending on the customer's press brake, tooling combination and bending setup, the effective height can also be manufactured as:

70 mm or other customized dimensions.

This flexibility makes it possible to match the lower die with different upper tooling heights, clamping systems and existing press brake tooling arrangements.

V30 Single-V Die Geometry

The illustrated configuration includes:

  • V30 / 30 mm V-opening
  • 85° V-groove angle
  • 90 mm overall height
  • 75 mm effective height
  • 40 mm overall width
  • Approx. R3.5 shoulder radius
  • 100 ton/m load capacity

The die angle, shoulder radius, edge geometry and surrounding dimensions can also be manufactured according to the customer's required workpiece profile and bending process.
