WYS 24° Bystronic-Type Hemming Pre-Bending Punch for 1.5 mm Sheet, H195 R1
This Bystronic-type upper punch is designed for the first pre-bending stage of hemming 1.5 mm sheet metal. It features a 195 mm overall height, 26 mm maximum width, reinforced 12 mm working section, 24° working angle, R1 tip radius and maximum load capacity of 100 ton/m. The acute pre-bend prepares the sheet edge for a subsequent flattening operation.

Description
The WYS 24° Bystronic-type hemming pre-bending punch is designed for the first forming stage of a two-step hemming process for 1.5 mm sheet metal.
During the first operation, the 24° punch forms the sheet edge into a sharp acute angle. The pre-bent workpiece is then repositioned in the corresponding hemming or flattening tool to produce the required closed edge.
1.5 mm Flat Sheet → 24° Pre-Bending → Repositioning → Flattening → Finished Hem
The punch has a 195 mm overall height, providing additional vertical working space for large panels and rising flanges. Its 12 mm working section is wider than the 10 mm section used on the related 1.2 mm version, providing a more substantial working profile for this application.

Tooling Selection and Customization
The 1.5 mm specification represents the intended application of this configuration. Actual suitability must also be evaluated according to the material grade, tensile strength, lower-die geometry, flattening clearance, bending length and required finished hem.
WYS can customize the punch angle, height, width, working-section thickness, tip radius, mounting interface, tooling length and segmentation. Customers can provide their workpiece drawings, material information and press brake specifications for a complete pre-bending and flattening tooling recommendation.
The actual working force must remain within the rated capacity of the punch, lower die, holder, clamping system and press brake.
This product is manufactured by WYS for compatible Bystronic-type tooling systems. WYS is an independent press brake tooling manufacturer, and no official affiliation with the referenced machine brand is implied.
