WYS 28° Bystronic-Type Hemming Pre-Bending Punch for 0.8 mm Sheet, H195 R1
This Bystronic-type upper punch is designed for the first pre-bending stage of hemming 0.8 mm thin sheet metal. It features a 195 mm overall height, 26 mm maximum width, narrow 6 mm working section, 28° angle, R1 tip radius and maximum load capacity of 100 ton/m. The acute first bend prepares the sheet edge for a subsequent flattening operation.

Description
The WYS 28° Bystronic-type hemming pre-bending punch is designed for the first forming stage of a two-step hemming process for 0.8 mm thin sheet metal.
During the first operation, the 28° punch forms the sheet edge into an acute angle. The workpiece is then repositioned in the corresponding hemming or flattening tool to produce the required closed or flattened edge.
0.8 mm Flat Sheet → 28° Pre-Bending → Repositioning → Flattening → Finished Hem
The punch has a 195 mm overall height, providing additional working space for large panels and rising flanges. Its narrow 6 mm working section offers clearance around the forming area and creates a compact profile suited to this light-gauge sheet application.

Tooling Selection and Customization
The 0.8 mm specification represents the intended application of this configuration. Actual suitability depends on material strength, ductility, lower-die geometry, flattening clearance, bending length and the required finished hem.
WYS can customize the punch angle, height, body width, working-section width, tip radius, mounting interface, tooling length and segmentation. Customers can provide their workpiece drawings, material information and press brake specifications for a complete pre-bending and flattening tooling recommendation.
The stated 100 ton/m is the maximum rated load of the punch. The actual working force must remain within the permissible capacity of the punch, lower die, holder, clamping system and press brake.
This product is manufactured by WYS for compatible Bystronic-type tooling systems. WYS is an independent press brake tooling manufacturer, and no official affiliation with the referenced machine brand is implied.
