Description
The WYS 26° Bystronic-type high-reach acute-angle punch is designed for precision forming applications requiring a sharp working angle, extended tooling reach and high load capacity.
Its 250 mm overall height provides substantially greater reach than a standard-height upper tool, making it suitable for deep components, tall workpieces and forming positions where a shorter punch cannot provide sufficient access.
The 26° working angle allows very acute bending and controlled overbending. It can compensate for material springback or create an initial acute bend before a secondary forming or flattening operation.

Tooling Selection and Customization
The 26° angle provides substantial forming clearance, but the final workpiece angle depends on material springback, sheet thickness, punch penetration, lower-die angle and V-opening.
The R1 tip can create a relatively tight bending contact area. Material minimum bend-radius requirements must be checked to avoid cracking or excessive marking.
WYS can customize the punch height, width, body thickness, working angle, tip radius, mounting interface, tooling length and segmentation. Customers can provide their finished-part drawings, material details and press brake specifications for tooling design and selection support.
The stated 100 ton/m is the maximum rated load of the punch. Actual working force must remain within the capacity of the upper punch, lower die, holder, clamping system and press brake.
