Split-Type Interchangeable Press Brake Punch Holder
This 105mm split-type interchangeable press brake punch holder is designed as the reusable body of a modular press brake upper tooling system.
Unlike a conventional one-piece punch, the holder and working insert are manufactured as separate components. The same punch holder can therefore be used with different replaceable punch inserts for different bending radii, angles and workpiece profiles.
The model shown has a total height of 105 mm, an effective height of 75 mm, a holder width of 14 mm, and a load capacity of 100 ton/m.
Reusable Holder for Different Punch Inserts
The main advantage of this design is that the punch holder can remain in service while only the lower working insert is changed.
Compatible inserts may include radius punch inserts, standard-angle inserts, acute-angle inserts and specially designed profile or forming inserts.
When a different bending requirement is introduced, manufacturers can replace the working insert instead of purchasing or manufacturing another complete upper punch. This helps reduce tooling cost and makes the tooling system more flexible for factories producing multiple sheet metal parts.
