Description
T-Type 45° Single-V Press Brake Lower Die with 60 mm Wide Base
This T-type single-V press brake lower die combines a wide supporting base with a vertical single-V working section, providing a stable lower-tool structure for acute-angle sheet metal bending applications.
The illustrated configuration has an 80 mm overall height, and its effective working height is also 80 mm. The bottom base is 60 mm wide and 18 mm high, while the rated load capacity is 50 ton/m.
The upper working section uses a 45° single-V groove. Multiple V-opening, load-bearing width and V-groove radius combinations are available, allowing the same T-type lower-die structure to be adapted to different material thicknesses, bend radii and workpiece geometries.
The tooling shown on this page represents one available structural family rather than a fixed dimensional limitation. WYS Machinery can manufacture the complete lower-die profile according to the customer's actual press brake and forming requirements.
45° V-Groove for Acute-Angle Bending
The 45° die angle is suitable for sheet metal forming applications requiring an acute intermediate angle, pre-bending or multi-stage forming.
Typical applications can include:
- Acute-angle air bending
- Pre-bending
- Multi-stage forming
- Precision flange bending
- Forming requiring additional angular clearance
- Intermediate forming before secondary bending operations
- Customized sheet metal profiles
The final tooling configuration should be selected according to the material grade, sheet thickness, required bend angle, V-opening, inside radius, flange geometry and bending force.
Wide T-Shaped Base Structure
The 60 mm wide T-shaped base provides a broad supporting platform beneath the vertical working section.
This type of lower-die structure can be manufactured for applications requiring:
- A wide lower-tool supporting surface
- A T-shaped base profile
- Specific die-holder arrangements
- Customized positioning geometry
- Special lower-tool mounting interfaces
- Different press brake tooling systems
The base width, base height, mounting geometry and complete die cross-section can also be customized.
Custom V-Opening, Load-Bearing Width and Groove Radius
Three important working dimensions are identified in the drawing:
V – V-Opening
The width of the V-groove.
S – Load-Bearing Section Width
The width of the main supporting section below the V-groove.
R – V-Groove Radius / Edge Radius
The radius geometry around the V-groove.
These parameters can be selected from the standard combinations below or customized according to the customer's actual bending requirements.
Available T-Type 45° Lower Die Specifications

| T20 | 20 | 3.0 | 30 | 50 |
| T25 | 25 | 3.0 | 37 | 50 |
These values represent standard available combinations. Non-standard V-openings, radii and load-bearing widths can also be manufactured according to customer requirements.
V-Opening Range for Different Forming Requirements
This 45° T-type tooling family includes standard V-openings from V6 to V25.
Smaller V-openings such as V6 and V8 provide a more compact forming zone, while larger V-openings such as V16, V20 and V25 provide increased forming clearance and are suitable for applications requiring a larger forming space or larger expected inside bend radius.
The appropriate V-opening should be selected according to the actual material and bending process.
Overall Height Equals Effective Height
For the illustrated configuration:
Overall Height: 80 mm
Effective Height: 80 mm
The tool height can also be customized according to the customer's machine and existing tooling system.
Different heights may be required to match:
- Existing press brake punches
- Existing lower tooling
- Machine daylight
- Clamping systems
- Required bending centerline
- Customer-specific tooling arrangements
