V12 / V20 85° Double-V Press Brake Lower Die

This double-V press brake lower die, also known as a 2V lower die, combines V12 and V20 openings in one compact die body.

Both V-grooves are manufactured at an 85° die angle. The illustrated configuration has an overall width of 50 mm, an overall height of 26 mm, and a rated load capacity of 80 ton/m.

The two integrated V-openings provide greater flexibility for sheet metal bending. The V12 groove can be used for smaller-opening bending requirements, while the larger V20 opening provides additional forming clearance for thicker sheet material and larger bend radii.

In many general sheet metal applications, a V20 opening can be used for bending sheet thicknesses around 2.5 mm, although the final V-opening should always be selected according to the material grade, tensile strength, required inside radius, flange geometry and bending method.

The illustrated lower die uses a plug-in mounting system, providing a defined interface with the corresponding lower die holder or press brake table system.

The V12 / V20 configuration shown here is one available example. Other V-opening combinations, die angles, overall dimensions, load capacities and mounting structures can be customized according to customer requirements.

V12 / V20 Double-V Configuration

V20 Groove for Thicker Sheet Bending

The V20 opening provides greater die clearance than V12, V16 or other smaller V-openings.

For many common sheet metal applications, the V20 groove can be used with approximately 2.5 mm sheet thickness.
