Description
V80 85° Single-V Press Brake Lower Die for Large V-Opening Bending
This V80 press brake lower die is designed with a robust single-V structure for sheet metal bending applications requiring a large V-opening and a wide, stable die body.
The illustrated model features an 80 mm V-opening, 85° die angle, 90 mm overall height and 100 mm overall width, with a rated load capacity of 100 ton/m.
The V80 opening provides substantial bending clearance and is suitable for applications requiring a larger inside bend radius, wider forming clearance or heavier-gauge sheet metal within the allowable bending capacity.
The 85° V-groove geometry is suitable for air bending applications and provides additional forming allowance when material springback must be considered.
Large V-Opening for Wider Bending Clearance
The 80 mm V-opening provides considerably more forming space than smaller V-dies.
This makes the lower die suitable for applications requiring:
- Large inside bending radii
- Wider workpiece clearance
- Medium and heavier-gauge sheet metal bending
- Larger flange geometries
- Reduced interference around the workpiece during forming
The actual V-opening should be selected according to the material grade, sheet thickness, required inside radius, minimum flange length and bending tonnage.
100 Ton/m Load Capacity
The V80 lower die has a rated load capacity of 100 ton/m.
Its 100 mm wide die body provides a broad and stable support structure around the V-groove for reliable production bending.
Before use, the actual bending force should be evaluated according to the material strength, sheet thickness, bending length and selected V-opening.
Flexible Effective Tool Height
The illustrated lower die has an overall height of 90 mm and a standard effective working height of 75 mm.
Depending on the customer's machine and tooling configuration, the effective height can also be manufactured as:
70 mm or other customized dimensions.
This allows the die to be matched with different punch heights, machine daylight, clamping systems and existing tooling combinations.
V80 Single-V Die Geometry
The illustrated configuration includes:
- V80 / 80 mm V-opening
- 85° die angle
- 90 mm overall height
- 75 mm effective height
- 100 mm overall width
- Approx. R8 shoulder radius
- 100 ton/m load capacity
The V-opening, die angle, shoulder radius, edge dimensions and surrounding geometry can also be customized according to the customer's workpiece and bending requirements.
