Description
This WILA American Style 80° gooseneck punch combines useful flange clearance with a reinforced load-bearing profile. Its 150 mm working height provides additional reach for boxes, channels and components with previously formed side walls.
The 80° working angle provides room for springback compensation and acute forming when paired with a suitable lower die. Its R3 mm tip distributes bending pressure across a wider contact area than a small-radius punch, making it suitable for medium- and heavy-gauge materials or components requiring a larger inside bend radius.
The tool uses a 12.7 mm American Style tang and transfers the bending force through its shoulders. Its reinforced body supports a maximum rated load of 90 ton/m while retaining the clearance advantages of a gooseneck punch.
Manufactured from 42CrMo alloy steel and hardened to HRC54±2, the punch provides dependable strength, dimensional stability and wear resistance for repeatable production bending.

The 65 mm dimension shown in the drawing is the maximum horizontal profile width. It should not be interpreted as the actual usable gooseneck clearance, which depends on the complete profile and workpiece geometry.

The R3 mm punch tip is a practical choice where an R1 or other small-radius tip would create excessive localized pressure or an inside radius smaller than the component requires. However, the finished inside radius also depends on the lower-die V-opening, material properties and forming method.
The required bending force must remain within the rated capacities of the punch, lower die, clamping system and press brake. Final tool selection should be confirmed using the actual material, thickness, bend length and workpiece drawing.
Product Details & Manufacturing Quality
The punch is manufactured from selected 42CrMo alloy steel, providing a reliable combination of strength, toughness and fatigue resistance. Its working area is hardened to HRC54±2 to improve resistance to wear and deformation during repeated loading.
The reinforced lower profile and 10 mm load-bearing width provide greater structural strength than a narrow-tip deep-clearance punch. This allows the tool to carry up to 90 ton/m while maintaining useful clearance around previously formed workpiece features.
Precision machining controls the 80° working angle, R3 mm tip, gooseneck geometry and shoulder-loaded mounting surfaces. Accurate geometry supports stable installation, consistent punch-to-die alignment and repeatable bending results.
