WILA Type 28° High-Reach Acute-Angle Punch – H200mm, R1, 60 Ton/m
This WILA Type 28° high-reach acute-angle punch features a 200 mm working height, R1 mm tip radius and maximum load capacity of 60 ton/m. Its tall and narrow profile provides additional working reach for deep boxes, high-sided components and restricted-access bending. Manufactured from 42CrMo alloy steel and hardened to HRC54±2, it is suitable for deep acute bending, pre-bending and multi-stage sheet metal forming.

Description
This WILA Type 28° high-reach punch is designed for deep workpieces that cannot be processed effectively with a standard-height upper tool. Its 200 mm working height provides extended reach inside boxes, channels and components with high side walls.
The narrow 28° working profile supports acute-angle bending and the initial pre-bending stage of sheet metal hemming. Its R1 mm tip radius provides accurate bend-line control when forming suitable sheet-metal materials.
The punch uses a top load-bearing structure and has a maximum rated capacity of 60 ton/m. Manufactured from 42CrMo alloy steel and hardened to HRC54±2, it provides reliable wear resistance, dimensional stability and forming accuracy.
Because of its tall, slender body, the punch is intended for applications where additional reach is more important than high-tonnage capacity. The required bending force must therefore be calculated and kept within the 60 ton/m rating.

Typical Applications
This WILA Type H200 acute-angle punch is suitable for:
- Deep-box sheet metal bending
- Components with high vertical side walls
- Deep channels and U-shaped profiles
- Acute-angle bending below 90°
- Pre-bending before hemming or flattening
- Multi-stage bending in restricted working spaces
- Electrical cabinets and control enclosures
- Tall metal boxes and equipment housings
- Metal doors, panels and machinery covers
- HVAC ducts and ventilation components
- Mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium fabrication
- CNC hydraulic and servo-electric press brakes
When used for a hemming process, this punch performs the acute pre-bending stage rather than the final flattening operation. A suitable flattening die or dedicated hemming tool is required to complete the folded edge.
The 200 mm working height increases tool reach but also creates greater leverage than a shorter punch. The actual permissible sheet thickness and bending length must therefore be checked according to material strength, lower-die opening and the rated capacities of the complete tooling system.
Product Details & Manufacturing Quality
The punch is manufactured from selected 42CrMo alloy steel to provide a reliable combination of toughness, strength and fatigue resistance. Its working area is hardened to HRC54±2 to improve resistance to tip wear and deformation.
Precision machining maintains the narrow 28° profile and R1 mm tip radius throughout the tool length. Consistent geometry supports accurate alignment and repeatable acute-angle forming, including when several segmented sections are installed together.
The high-reach body is optimized for access to deep components. Correct tool alignment and loading are particularly important because the tall profile is rated for 60 ton/m rather than the higher loads carried by shorter or more heavily reinforced punches.
