Large Radius Replaceable Insert for Split-Type Press Brake Punch

This large radius replaceable insert is designed for modular press brake tooling systems where different bending radii can be achieved by changing only the working insert while keeping the same punch holder.

Compared with conventional one-piece radius punches, the split-type design separates the punch holder and the working radius insert. This allows manufacturers to reuse the same holder with different radius inserts according to different sheet metal forming requirements.

The models shown include R15, R18 and R20 radius inserts, all manufactured with an 85° forming angle, 46 mm height, and 100 ton/m load capacity.

Interchangeable Large Radius Tooling Design

Large radius bending is commonly required for applications where a smooth curved profile, larger inside radius or special appearance requirement is needed.

With the interchangeable insert design, operators can replace only the radius insert instead of changing the complete upper punch.
