Description
V10 35° Single-V Press Brake Lower Die for Sharp Acute-Angle Bending
This V10 press brake lower die is designed with a single-V structure for sheet metal bending applications requiring a sharp 35° groove and controlled acute-angle forming.
The illustrated model features a 10 mm V-opening, 35° die angle, 90 mm overall height and 20 mm body width, with a rated load capacity of 70 ton/m.
The combination of the V10 opening and 35° V-groove geometry makes this lower die suitable for sharp acute-angle air bending, pre-bending and multi-stage forming operations where a significantly narrower included angle is required than with conventional 60°, 85°, 88° or 90° dies.
Compared with smaller V-opening acute-angle dies, the V10 opening provides additional forming clearance while maintaining a compact lower-tool profile for precision bending applications.
35° V-Groove for Sharp Acute-Angle Forming
The 35° die angle provides a narrow included angle for demanding acute-angle bending applications.
Typical forming requirements can include:
- Sharp acute-angle air bending
- Pre-bending operations
- Multi-stage forming processes
- Precision flange bending
- Forming with additional springback allowance
- Preparation for subsequent forming operations
- Customized acute-angle sheet metal components
The appropriate tooling configuration should be selected according to the material, sheet thickness, required bending angle and workpiece geometry.
V10 Single-V Die Geometry
The illustrated lower die combines a 10 mm V-opening with a 20 mm body width, providing stable support around the forming zone.
Main dimensions include:
- V10 / 10 mm V-opening
- 35° die angle
- 90 mm overall height
- 75 mm effective height
- 20 mm body width
- 14 mm bottom mounting width
- Approx. R1.2 shoulder radius
- 70 ton/m load capacity
The die angle, shoulder geometry and surrounding edge dimensions can also be customized according to the required bending process.
Custom Effective Tool Height
The illustrated configuration has an effective working height of 75 mm.
The effective height is not limited to this dimension and can be manufactured according to the customer's:
- Press brake configuration
- Upper tooling height
- Machine daylight
- Clamping system
- Existing tooling combination
The overall tool height and effective height can therefore be coordinated as part of the complete tooling solution.
