This V32 85° press brake lower die uses a wide rectangular base structure with a single V-groove, providing a stable lower-tool configuration for sheet metal air bending.

The wide-base design differs from plug-in lower dies that use a narrow mounting shank below the main die body. In this configuration, the 60 mm body width also forms the full-width base, providing a broad supporting surface beneath the V-groove.

85° V-Groove for Precision Air Bending

The 85° single-V groove is suitable for precision air-bending applications where some angular allowance may be required to compensate for material springback.

The actual bending result depends on several factors, including:

Compared with smaller V-openings, V32 provides a wider forming zone and greater clearance for the sheet during bending. It can be suitable for applications requiring a larger bending radius or more space around the workpiece.

The correct V-opening should always be selected according to the sheet thickness, material, required inside radius and minimum flange dimension.

Wide-Base Structure Instead of Plug-in Mounting

A key feature of this lower die is its full-width 60 mm base structure.

This design is structurally different from a plug-in lower die.

A plug-in lower die normally uses a narrower bottom mounting shank that is inserted into a compatible die holder.

This wide-base lower die instead uses a full-width supporting body, making it suitable for tooling systems or lower-die holders designed for a broader mounting surface.

The mounting structure can also be redesigned according to the customer's press brake and die holder.
